Two-component addition cure potting compound consists of two liquid components (Part A and Part B). After fully mixed at a 1:1 weight ratio, they crosslink via addition reaction and cure into high-performance elastomer. It can cure at room temperature or be heated for accelerated curing. No obvious shrinkage or exothermic temperature rise occurs during curing.The cured material possesses excellent electrical properties and aging resistance, and withstands high and low temperatures ranging from -60°C to 200°C. It features waterproof and moisture-proof performance with good deep curing capability. It is non-corrosive to contacting materials and causes no pollution to the surrounding environment. Its most prominent advantages are thermal conductivity and flame retardancy. Its curing speed is greatly affected by temperature.

Two-component condensation cure potting compound is liquid silicone. Under the action of catalyst, the base polymer reacts with crosslinker via condensation reaction for room-temperature vulcanization, with small molecular substances generated during the reaction. Condensation-type products are named according to the type of small molecular byproducts.This potting compound cures from outside to inside; higher ambient humidity accelerates curing. Heating curing is not applicable for condensation cure potting compound.

Adhesive two-component fast-curing silicone rubber is a modified condensation-type adhesive. When Component A (base gum) and Component B (curing system) are mixed at a 1:1 volume ratio, crosslinking and curing take place upon contact with moisture in the air.To avoid premature crosslinking and curing before application, the adhesive is packed in two separate containers, known as condensation-type two-component room-temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber, abbreviated as RTV-2 adhesive.
